Alessandro PepinoAlessandro Pepino was born in Naples on 19/6/1958. 

Graduated with praise in Electronic Engineering (biomedical address), In 1983 he started the Doctorate in Bioengineering. 

In June-December of the 1985 he successfully researched at the Biomedical Dept. of the King’s Collage Medical School, London (GB) on a research project concerning gait analysis of the movement of amputated patients.

In the 1988 he got his PhD in Bioengineering discussing the thesis entitled “ Methods and Instrumentation for the Functional Evaluation and Therapy of Hemiplegic Patients”.

In May 1988 he became senior Technician at the Electronic Dpt. of the University of Naples.

During these year he got experience in writing and managing EC Concerted actions. 

In the 1998 he has been appointed Associate Professor in Biomedical Engineering and since from that year up to now. He holds several courses concerning biomedical engineering.at University of Naples.

Since the 2009 up today He is responsible for Assistive Technologies at SINAPSI University Centre for Tutoring Disable Students.

From the 2000 up to 2011 he was the IT responsible as consultant in several Hospital and Public Companies such as:

  • Monaldi Hospital 2000-2011
  • SoReSa from 2008 - 2011
  • S.Carlo Hospital 2001-2002

In these years he was also responsible for different activities and projects concerning the hospital and companies where he worked.

In all these years he has been speaker, in several case invited, in many scientific national and international conferences, as documented from more than 100 scientific publications.concerning the following research areas:
