Armando Coccia was born in Castellammare di Stabia (Naples, Italy) in 1994. He received BSc and MSc degrees cum laude in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Naples ‘Federico II’, respectively in 2016 and 2019.

He is currently a PhD student in Information and Communication Technology for Health, XXXV cycle.He is part of the Biomedical Research Group, established at the DIETI Department of the University of Naples ‘Federico II’.

He also has an active scientific partnership with the Bioengineering and Neurological Departments of IRCCS Maugeri of Telese Terme (BN, Italy), being part of the clinical and scientific laboratory ‘LASEBIRC’ for the automatic processing of biomedical signals and of the laboratory for the quantitative kinematic and electromyographic assessment of gait and postural analysis.

He is currently involved in the research project ‘APTIS - Advanced Personalized Three-dimensional printed SensorIzed orthesiS’ (Bando Capo III DM MISE 5/III/2018).

From 2017 to 2020 he worked at the project ‘SWEET – Smart Wearable E-Textile based m-health system’ for the development of a m-health platform for the remote health monitoring based on e-textile wearable devices.

His main scientific interests are in wearable devices for health monitoring, e-textile, gait analysis, telemedicine and biomedical signals digital processing.
