Federica Amitrano was born in Pompei (NA) in 1994. She graduated in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Naples ‘Federico II’ in 2019.
She is currently a PhD student in Information and Communication Technology for Health (ICTH) – XXXV Cycle. She works as a member of the Biomedical group at Healthcare Automation, Biomedical Instrumentation and Telemedicine Laboratory.
Her main research activity regards project, development and experimental setting of wearable e-textile devices for remote health monitoring. Her research interests also regard the field of gait analysis, postural analysis, telemedicine and biomedical signals processing.
She has a scientific collaboration in the research activity of the “LASEBIRC”, the laboratory for the digital processing of biomedical signals for clinical research, at ICS Maugeri Institute of Care and Scientific Research of Telese Terme (BN), Italy.
In 2019 she was involved in the research project “SWEET - Smart WEreable E-Textile based mhealth system”, (MISE DM 1/6/2016 Horizon 2020).
